Director Ursula Staudinger's Nobel Week Dialogue plenary in Stockholm

December 9, 2014  "The Age to Come: New Scientific and Cultural Perspectives on Ageing"

Center Director Ursula Staudinger delivered a plenary speech “Demographic Change and Growth: A Paradox? at the Nobel Week Dialogue in Stockholm on December 9, 2014, the eve of the presentation of the 2014 Nobel Prizes.  Dr. Staudinger also moderated a panel featuring Nobel Laureate Daniel McFadden entitled "Implications of an Older World."  The video may be viewedhere

This all-day series of panels devoted to the topic of aging was geared to provide new scientific and cultural perspectives on societies of longer lives. As with past "dialogues," this Nobel Week event convened distinguished participants from a range of disciplines including past Nobelists Elizabeth Blackburn, Aaron Ciechanover, Eric Maskin, Daniel McFadden, Craig Mello, and Columbia's Eric Kandel.
