Transitions and Old Age Potential

The Columbia Aging Center is a team member of Transitions and Old Age Potential (TOP) — a longitudinal survey that focuses on retirement transitions and the potential of older adults on the labor market, in civil society and in the family. Coordinated by the German Federal Institute for Population Research in Wiesbaden, the TOP survey concentrates on an age range of 55 to 70, a timeframe that generally includes entry into retirement usually takes place, TOP defines itself as a “lifestage survey” and as a supplement of existing studies in the German-speaking regions.  For more information on TOP, please visit this site.  To consult publications related to the TOP Study, please visit this link.
