Ursula Staudinger participates in Nobel Week Dialogue "The Age to Come"

Friday, January 2, 2015

Center Director Ursula Staudinger gave the talk “Demographic Change and Growth: A Paradox?” at the Nobel Week Dialogue in Stockholm in December on the eve of the presentation of the 2014 Nobel Prizes.  Dr. Staudinger also moderated a panel featuring Nobel Laureate Daniel McFadden entitled "Implications of an Older World."  The video may be viewed here.

This all-day series of panels devoted to the topic of aging was geared to provide new scientific and cultural perspectives on societies of longer lives. As with past "dialogues," this Nobel Week event convened distinguished participants from a range of disciplines including past Nobelists Elizabeth Blackburn, Aaron Ciechanover, Eric Maskin, Daniel McFadden, Craig Mello, and Columbia's Eric Kandel.
